First and foremost, like you I am a veteran; a veteran of the first Gulf War and I’m proud to say that. My family has a long history of serving our great country. My grandfather served in the Navy during the Second World War. His ship was hit by a torpedo and was lost at sea for more than a month. My father also served in the Navy where he volunteered for and was selected to serve in one of the Underwater Demolition Teams during the Korean War and the Lebanon Crisis of 1958. The U.D.T was formed during World War II and was the precursor of our Navy Seal Teams of today. Many of my uncles also served bravely in various branches of our military, fighting and dying in places like Normandy Beach, Guadalcanal, The Coral Sea, Midway and yes Pearl Harbor.
So you see I have a deep connection with the men and women who have served our great country.
When I became a Funeral Director I promised that I would do everything I could to honor both the memory of our fallen heroes and those of us still here today. On these pages of my website I have created an area for veterans to find telephone and contact information for various state and federal veteran services, information on your rights as a veteran and some of the programs my funeral home sponsors.
I hope you find this interesting, informative and of value. My door is always open and I truly appreciate and welcome any thoughts you may have which would make my website more helpful and meaningful.
